Ever notice what happens when we don a costume? Suddenly, we’re in character. There’s nothing like getting dressed up in garb we would never ever wear normally to bring out an alternate persona.

The costume serves as a mask of sorts. We get to try on other personalities, egos and alter egos for size. Usually for a short time while we attend a party or go trick or treating.

This may not happen for everybody. But some folks really, really get into it. Like they just couldn’t wait to transform into…a ghost, zombie, Wonder Woman, one of many Disney Princesses, Pennywise from It, or, #10 in popularly, President Donald J. Trump.

Why do so many people love to dress up as or impersonate #45? And this includes pumpkins with his face and straw hair?
