Life lessons from one dancer to another. Though I am not musically inclined, dance comes easy for me. I took ballet from age 6 to 14. In high school, I folk danced, in college, modern.

During a mid-life crisis, I took to the salsa clubs of ‘Frisco. This led to the kind of mischief qualifying me for twelve-step recovery. I replaced the club scene with alcohol-free ballroom dance studios. At my peak, I performed the Lindy Hop with a professional dancer.

Now, as an editor for the Medium publication, Middle-Pause, I’m most proud of a dance story. One by someone for whom mastery was a struggle. A life-changing, heart-engaging…
